# How to unzip files or extract files after I download a product?

Your product is downloaded but it won't open until the files have been "extracted".  The files are in a compressed state to make it easier to download. To *extract* or *unzip* files enables you to resave the files in a different format. 

**For Windows** 
1. Right-click the __zipped folder__
2. Select  __Extract All__
3. Choose a location to save the extracted files
4. Click __Extract__

**For Mac**
1. Double-click the __zipped file__
2. The unzipped item will appear in the same folder as the zipped file

**For Google Files** 
1. Select the __zipped file__
2. A pop-up will appear showing the file's contents
3. Select __Extract all__
